Dr Donald Craythorne, BJuris (Unisa), MPub Ad (UCT), PhD (UCT), has had a career which spanned 40 years in local government. He was director of Constitutional Affairs for the former Cape Provincial Administration, and was involved in the 1993 local government negotiations. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Local Government Management of South Africa, a Fellow of the Institute of Administration and Commerce of South Africa, an Associate of the South African Association of Public Administration and Management, a member of the Disaster Management Institute of South Africa and an honorary member of the Institute for Municipal Safety of Southern Africa.  So he knows his stuff about Municipal Administration!

 

Paul R Craythorne is also an author! His first book, 'Journey of a Poetic Phoenix' is a journey through his own personal adolescence, with poems  written between the ages of 16-21.  As he says: "There have been highs and lows, good and bad. But no matter how bad the lows got I always picked myself up in a way ‘rose from the flames’ just like the fabled phoenix."

David Craythorne is an artist!  He was born at RAF Cosford and his family moved to Bridgnorth in the early sixties.  He moved away during his training, but since his return David has worked as an artist, producing many images of the town. He has also produced many murals in the town's pubs and further afield. He also produces decorative signage, using goldleaf whenever possible, as well as using decorative paintwork as needed.
