Crathornes in Cambridgeshire

All ten of the IGI records for Cambridgeshire relate to a single family based at Bassingbourn, a small village near the town of Royston, now in Hertfordshire.  Although just a small village, Bassingbourn is only just off the old North Road, and so on the direct transport route from Crathorne in Yorkshire to London...  

Whether there was a family with two sons, or simply two brothers getting married in the same place, it seems that Roger and John Crathorne had families in Bassingbourn in the mid 1500s, with both children and grandchildren.  However there are no records beyond Elizabeth's marriage in 1636...
